Water Use Notice

Dear Customer:
Given the nature and location of the water system serving the Powder Mountain area, it has long been the District’s policy to prohibit use of water for outdoor irrigation. The District’s sources and system are designed with that restriction in mind. The District’s water rights are approved in quantities that do not include outside water use. You signed an Application and Agreement before receiving water from the District that states the customer’s agreement “to restrict and limit all use of culinary and potable water to purpose[s] within the household, and such culinary water shall not be utilized for outside watering of lawn, plants, or any other outside uses.” Violation of the outdoor watering restriction and the customer’s agreement places a strain on the District’s system and could result in damage to the system and to the other customers.
